Cubs vs Sox at Wrigley!

Southside Hitmen took it to the Cubs in the 1st game of a 3 game series at Wrigley. Shaz and I took off right after work and were slowed down by a fire dept HELICOPTER crash near 35th street, but we still managed to miss only the 1st inning. This was also the 1st game back for thug Michael Barratt after his 10 game suspension for punching AJ. Notice the drunk and dejected Cub fan sitting behind us. Thanks to Jon for the tix!

Joliet Jack Hanmmers win one for the Gipper!

That's right! The Hammers won an extra inning thriller at Silver Cross Field in downtown Joliet. In the 8th inning the home plate umpire was hit in the head with a pitch and knocked out of the game! Sadly we could stay for The Guns and Hoses game pitting the Joliet Police Dept against the Fire Dept.

Jake's 8th Grade Graduation Party

Jake got dunked by his parish preist, Father Bill, and Uncle Ed Gudas. He dried off and we played Corn Hole in the front yard, also know as bags. Dean of Students Year End BBQ

Susan Art had her annual year end BBQ on Friday and the food was delicious! Filet and shrimp and portabello mushrooms!!! The husband of one of mom's colleagues, left his laptop on the front seat of his truck and someone broke in and grabbed it. I caught a glimpse of the guy as he ran off and we gave chase in the car but could not find him. The police continued the hunt to no avail. The Broncos are scheduled to participate in a passing league competition against other CPS high schools. The guys are looking better but we have a ways to go.

Andy Pettitte shuts down the Cubs

Since the Sox were out of town, Kari treated me to a Cubs game. Andy Pettitte, originally from Deerfield, was smoking. I got some great pics of him warming up since our seats were near the visitor dugout. He has a few World Champion rings with the Yankees, and more post season games than any pitcher in the history of the game! Needless to say... he shut down the Cubbies and Houston won 9-3!

Roland and I got to the Cell an hour ealry to eat a Polish and watch BP. Garland pitched a decent game and had a 3-2 lead when he left in the 6th. The Sox could not hold them off and the Rangers pulled out a win.s
